Proflow Design Racing
Check out our Video
At Proflow Design, we use racing in order to test and develop our products. Our CRX has been a
great car for this, and has also been quite successful. It ran a best time of 13.69 seconds at 99.9MPH at the dragstrip,
and was also able to compete at Autocross events and Driving Schools as shown below. In the 2001 season, we had 2 wins
at Woodburn Dragstrip, as well as many runs in the finals at Seattle International Raceway and Portland International Raceway.
The season really taught our team a lot about racing. The 2002 season was devoted completely to Driving Schools on Road Race courses. We ran against one of our good friends in his Supercharged S2000 for a very close race! ![]() For the 2003 season, the CRX was converted into a road race car, and competed in the International Conference of Sports Car Clubs series of races. The class we chose to compete in was Super Production Under 2.0L (SPU). This class is unlimited in nature and allowed the car to compete with the engine swap. Here it is headed to Pre-Grid at Pacific Raceways ![]() Pacific Raceways turn 3a ![]() Braking for turn 2 and catching a Ferrari at Pacific Raceways ![]() Here is the CRX in Pre-Grid, at Thunderhill Raceway. We raced in NASA's Honda Challenge Series in the H1 class, which also allows engine swaps. ![]() ![]() ![]() The 2003 Season turned out very well. We had 4 wins, 3 seconds, the SPU Championship, and learned a lot more about racing. 2004, we built a D16A6 engine to run in Conference F Production. Competed and won the only race in 2004 that we entered. 2005, we only entered one event, the Spokane Double, with a 1st and 2nd Place finish. Proflow Design goes Pro Racing! In 2005 and 2006 Proflow Design directly supported the Grand Am GT team of Beachman Racing, with engineering support both in Seattle and at the track. The team raced once in 2005 to get established, and in 2006 raced in three events, taking one 15th place at Laguna Seca and two Top Ten finishes at Mid-Ohio and Miller Motorsports Park in Utah! Proflows engineering and shop worked primarily on Data Analysis of Car and Drivers, Suspension and Aero Setup, Braking Systems Design, and Team/Race Strategy.
